Call out for workshop leaders IG post GAS Projects 1.png

We’re building a ‘bank’ of freelance facilitators in Gloucester who we can contact ad hoc for upcoming creative workshops. So we’re keen to hear from experienced workshop leaders as well as those who are starting out and are looking to gain experience.

We have opportunities for May, July and August this year so send us your details now!

Fees are £25-£50 per hour for the workshop delivery hours. This hourly rate includes all planning and preparation of materials and set up and take down. So, although a session may be 12-4pm (4 hours actual delivery), £200-leaders/£100-assistants, you would be expected to turn up before the session to set-up ready to deliver at 12pm and take down/clear away as part of the hourly fee.

More info about our workshops:

We've been designing and delivering art workshops in Gloucester and they've been really popular, to the point that we've got the engagement and funding, just not enough hands. We usually run art workshops that have a theme and/or public engagement opportunity, and are part of a community related project.

For more info about the types of workshops we run, check out our Projects page

Workshop Leaders - We're most likely to give you a short brief about what we'd like you to deliver, and as a workshop leader you would design the details of the workshop, source materials and work with the assistant to deliver the workshop - all finalised as a collaboration with us.

We're keen to hear from multi disciplinary artists/creatives who can deliver workshops to a brief. If you have a specific workshop skill however, do still get in touch because it might align with a plan we have.

Workshop Assistants - we are looking for anyone with good people skills and a willingness to learn! If you're not sure, get in touch - we're very friendly.

For Workshop Leaders we need to see:

  • People from Gloucester with their own transport

  • A current DBS or willingness to get one

  • Registered self-employed

Send Us:

  • A relevant CV (max 2 pages) including your address and workshop experience

  • Your availability - term time only? Or school holidays as well? Weekends?

  • 2 references

For Workshop Assistants we are keen to see:

  • People from Gloucester with an interest in the arts (previous experience not essential)

Send Us:

  • A relevant CV (max 2 pages)

  • Tell us why you’re interested in assisting workshops, if you’ve worked with young people before, or have any similar experience which shows your suitability

  • Your availability - term time only? Or school holidays as well? Weekends?

TO APPLY:

  1. Decide which one you're best suited for

  2. Read through what's required for that role

  3. Send a CV and the requested information to admin@gasprojects.org.uk.

This is an ongoing opportunity from April 2024, but we're keen to get some dates in the diary so applying sooner is better!
