Meet The Team

Soozy Roberts is a socially-engaged artist and curator who collaborates with communities, objects and environments, in an interactive, playful and progressive manner.  Soozy has been working in Matson since 2018 as a creative catalyst with Create Gloucestershire and as a freelance artist/producer, she is passionate about working with communities and developing arts opportunities in areas where these aren’t so readily available.  Soozy is also lecturers in Live Art & Participatory Practices at Bath Spa University. 

Hannah Thomson is a creative producer who works with communities, with a focus on giving a voice to the overlooked or unheard. She currently makes a community podcast, working with residents and school children, as well as organisations and artists from the Matson area. She has created projects with City Voices which explore stories of people who do not usually get represented in the arts and heritage sectors. She has a background in art history and museum and gallery education and her work explores how art and artists can create meaningful change through engagement with communities. 

I am a Gloucestershire based Textile Designer and Artist. I studied Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors at Bath Spa University and graduated this year with a 1st class honours. I also exhibited my Final degree collection at New designers and was shortlised for the Sanderson Award 2021. I now work as a freelance Textile Designer for a London based design company where I recently sold designs in Japan, Australia, China, LA and Germany. I have also set up a part-time business, where I design and make prints and Luxury silk scarves. I'm really excited to work with the community and create a open and diverse place welcome to everyone!

I'm Daisy - May, a Gloucester based graphic designer and illustrator who loves coffee and creativity. I currently work freelance creating expressive paintings and colour based projects, inspired by work created during my masters degree. I'm really looking forward to working locally with people in the community to help build and develop a creative environment of diversity and expression.

I'm Kazz, a Gloucestershire based artist and creative producer who loves being involved with a variety of groups and individuals. I'm currently working with Site Festival at SVA, working on commissions (such as Unicorn Fest in Bristol) and creating websites for artists.

I love making sculptures and little creatures, and making a mess.
